Antusiasme warga ini untuk menyambut kedatangan Pegi Setiawan seusai dibebaskan oleh Polda Jabar karena memenangkan praperadilan.
Ketika mobil yang membawa Pegi memasuki area rumahnya, sorak sorai dan tepuk tangan warga pun pecah.
Beberapa warga bahkan sampai menangis haru karena ikut merasakan kebahagiaan keluarga Pegi yang telah berjuang hingga memenangkan gugatan.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Pegi Setiawan juga menyampaikan rasa terima kasihnya kepada semua pihak yang telah mendukungnya selama ini.
Ia berharap kehadirannya kembali di kampung halaman dapat membawa kebahagiaan dan kedamaian bagi seluruh warga.
Sebelumnya Pegi dibebaskan dari Rutan Polda Jabar pada Senin (8/7/2024) malam.
Pegi muncul bersama tim kuasa hukumnya pukul 21.39 WIB.
Ia pun menebarkan senyum semringah karena telah bebas seusai gugatan praperadilannya dikabulkan hakim Pengadilan Negeri Bandung.
