Salvo va a sgranchirsi quando due ragazze arrivano urlando spaventate. “Aiutaci, forse c’è un bambino in un cespuglio”, Pennisi non si tira indietro e segue le due ragazze fino a quel cespuglio. Davanti a loro il corpicino di una neonata distesa con la pancia in giù. Attorno a lei foglie secche, rovi e rifiuti.
