Kondisi tersebut mengundang isu liar bermunculan di publik, termasuk dugaan mengonsumsi narkoba.
Dalam konferensi pers di Ruang Oval pada Jumat (30/5/2025), Musk mengaku matanya lebam karena ditinju sang anak, Lil X.
Awalnya, ia mengira pukulan sang anak tidak akan berdampak, namun ternyata menimbulkan luka memar.
Musk menegaskan bahwa insiden itu terjadi saat dirinya sedang bercanda dengan Lil X.
"Saya bilang, silakan pukul wajah saya dan dia melakukannya," ujar Musk, dikutip dari RT, Minggu (1/6/2025).
Sementara itu, Trump yang duduk di samping tidak menyadari jika mata Elon Musk lebam hingga ditanyakan oleh jurnalis.
"X bisa melakukannya. Jika Anda mengenal X, ia bisa melakukannya," ujar Trump.
Pernyataan Musk sekaligus membantah pemberitaan New York Times pekan ini yang menyebut bahwa dirinya mengonsumsi obat-obatan terlarang.
Ia menilai, apa yang ditulis media AS tersebut tidak berdasar.
Sebagai informasi, Musk menyatakan mundur dari penasihat senior Gedung Putih dan Pemimpin Departemen Pemerintahan Federal AS (DOGE).
Meski tak lagi bergabung dengan pemerintahan, ia memastikan akan terus mengunjungi Trump.
Presiden AS pun menyampaikan terima kasih atas pengabdian Musk selama ini.
