Ledakan terdengar di sekitar SPBU Legtifya, dan asap hitam membubung dari lokasi kejadian.
Di dekat area itu terdapat kompleks perumahan yang dijaga pasukan Emiri Qatar sejak awal konflik Gaza.
Israel mengklaim serangan tersebut menargetkan pemimpin Hamas yang berada di kota itu.
Qatar, yang selama ini berperan sebagai mediator bersama Mesir dalam perundingan gencatan senjata, mengecam keras tindakan Israel.
Pemerintah menilai serangan tersebut melanggar hukum internasional.
Menurut sumber Hamas, tim negosiasi gencatan senjata yang berada di Doha selamat dari serangan.
Qatar menyebut tindakan itu sebagai agresi pengecut yang merusak upaya perdamaian.
”Negara Qatar mengecam keras serangan pengecut Israel yang menargetkan bangunan tempat tinggal beberapa anggota Biro Politik Hamas di ibu kota Qatar, Doha,” kata juru bicara Kementerian Luar Negeri Qatar, Majed al-Ansari, dalam sebuah unggahan di X.
Juru bicara Kementerian Luar Negeri Qatar, Majed al-Ansari, menegaskan bahwa negaranya tidak akan tinggal diam.
Ia menyebut serangan Israel sebagai bentuk pelanggaran kedaulatan yang berbahaya.
Sementara itu, pejabat Israel, dikutip dari Axios, menyatakan operasi tersebut ditujukan pada tokoh senior Hamas.
Salah satunya adalah Khalil al-Hayya, kepala negosiator Hamas di pengasingan.
