Carney FLIP-FLOPS on Iran + Islamic Centre deletes posts after Juno News reports
On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show News Update, Candice highlights Prime Minister Mark Carney’s unbelievably weak comments on Iran on Tuesday. Looking tired and frail, Carney backtracked and flip-flopped on his earlier position.Candice walks us through the timeline, sharing Carney’s positive remarks on Saturday and re-reading his strong statement in support of the bombing campaign. She then shows the government starting to change its tune, first with Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand saying Canada prefers a diplomatic solution and followed by Defence Minister David McGuinty calling for a ceasefire.
This led to Carney’s low-energy remarks on Tuesday condemning the bombing campaign. No wonder Toronto Sun journalist Brian Lilly slammed him as “an incredibly weak man.”
Candice contrasts tired old Mark Carney to Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre’s high-energy speech in London where he called for deeper ties among the Anglosphere.
Next, Candice gives us the latest on a string of terror attacks and intimidation campaigns in North America, from Austin, Texas to a Toronto Synagogue, in response to Operation Epic Fury.
Finally, Candice follows up on a story written by Juno News investigative journalist Melanie Bennet highlighting a radical mosque that was hosting a vigil to celebrate the life of brutal dictator Ayatollah Khamenei.
After Juno News’ reporting, the Islamic Centre edited their post, deleted any mention of the dictator and pulled the livestream video. In an email to Juno News, which Candice reads on air, the group claims the event never happened and issues a veiled threat.
