Para korban yang berhasil diidentifikasi tersebut berasal dari proses pencocokan sampel data Post-Mortem (PM) dan Ante-Mortem (AM) terhadap delapan kantung jenazah.
Kabid Dokkes Polda Jatim, Kombes Pol dr M Khusnan Marzuki, mengatakan tujuh jenazah berhasil diidentifikasi melalui hasil tes DNA, sedangkan satu jenazahatas nama Moch Adam Fidiansyah (12) berhasil diidentifikasi melalui pencocokan gigi, medis dan properti; barang kepemilikan.
Jenazah tersebut ada yang berasal dari Kota Surabaya, Kabupaten Bangkalan, dan Kecamatan Gunung Sindur, Kabupaten Bogor, Provinsi Jawa Barat.
Khusnan Marzuki menuturkan proses identifikasi dilakukan dengan mencocokkan data AM seperti kondisi gigi, rekam medis, sidik jari, dan properti atau pakaian yang dipakai dari jenazah.
Lalu, pencocokan tersebut akan dilengkapi secara lebih akurat dengan hasil Tes DNA yang sudah diterima.
"Tes DNA, kami menunggu yang belum dikirim. Kalau yang hari ini, sudah dikirim, ada total kemarin 28 sampel, kalau hari ini ada 36 sampel yang sudah kami terima. Mengapa kami tetap melakukan keduanya. Supaya keluarga tidak lama menunggu teridentifikasi," ujarnya di Lobby Ruang Immunoterapi RS Bhayangkara, Surabaya, pada Kamis (9/10/2025).
Dari data baru tersebut menambah jumlah korban meninggal dunia yang berhasil diketahui namanya oleh Tim DVI RS Bhayangkara Surabaya, menjadi 48 jenazah dari 67 kantung jenazah yang diterima.
Artinya, masih ada sekitar 27 kantong jenazah, yang terdiri dari lima kantong body part dan 25 kantong jenazah utuh, sedang diteliti atau dalam proses identifikasi.
Sementara itu, Kabid DVI Pusdokkes Polri, Kombes Pol dr Wahyu Hidajati mengatakan, pihaknya tak menampik menghadapi kesulitan dalam proses identifikasi karena kondisi jenazah yang terkadang dalam keadaan tidak utuh atau terlanjur sudah mengalami pembusukan akut.
