Il turismo per l’Italia conta tanto. Quasi il 13% dell’intero reddito prodotto in un anno dal nostro paese. Non molto distante dalla Spagna dove quella percentuale è al 16%. Superiore alla Francia dove è al 10% nonostante sia il Paese con i maggiori arrivi annuali di turisti. È uno di quei settori che viene sempre individuato come una delle potenzialità non sviluppate adeguatamente. Ma davvero qualcuno ci sta lavorando? A giudicare da come si stanno organizzando le selezioni per le guide turistiche pare proprio di no. Il 19 maggio si chiuderanno le iscrizioni per la prossima tornata del concorso per conferire l'importante abilitazione. A quella precedente si erano iscritti in 30 mila. Di quelli, si erano presentati poco meno di 12 mila agli scritti. E questo visto il tipo di scritti. 80 domande a risposta multipla sulle decine, centinaia, migliaia di siti storici e naturali presenti in Italia. Dalle foreste fossili umbre passando per valli e castelli della Val d’Aosta ai ruderi e monumenti di Roma alla Pompei emerse e sommerse. Risultato dei 12 mila ne sono passati 230. Vi direte: ma come fanno in altri Paesi come appunto come Spagna e Francia? Lì le selezioni sono locali. Ma qui in Italia siamo stati capaci di avere 20 Sanità regionali. Ma le guide turistiche devono essere nazionali. Ora vedremo come andrà la prossima selezione. E capiremo se quella del turismo come motore dell’economia italiana è una chiacchiera o una realtà.
