Die Preise für Benzin und Diesel in Deutschland haben nach dem Ende des Tankrabatts erneut stark angezogen, während es in manchen Nachbarländern oft billiger ist. Die Regierung hatte Anfang Mai wegen der im Zuge des Iran-Kriegs stark gestiegenen Spritpreise die Steuern auf Benzin und Diesel um insgesamt knapp 17 Cent gesenkt. Der Tankrabatt lief Ende Juni jedoch aus. Die Preise an den Zapfsäulen stiegen dann deutlich, hinzu kommen die wieder aufgeflammten Kämpfe. Die Spritpreise stehen inzwischen im Bundesschnitt wieder weit über zwei Euro pro Liter.
