Pernyataan itu sebelumnya menuai sorotan publik setelah disampaikan dalam acara di Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Padjadjaran, Bandung.
Ia menegaskan maksud ucapannya merujuk pada persoalan pengelolaan lahan perhutanan sosial yang kerap disalahgunakan masyarakat.
Pernyataan ini disampaikan Dedi melalui unggahan di media sosialnya, Senin (26/8).
Awalnya, Dedi menyinggung soal program perhutanan sosial yang seharusnya menjadi sarana masyarakat mengelola hutan sekaligus menopang kehidupan ekonomi.
Namun, menurutnya, banyak lahan justru dialihfungsikan menjadi permukiman atau bahkan dijual.
Kondisi ini, menimbulkan persoalan baru sehingga diperlukan penataan yang lebih ketat.
