Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG) menanggapi isu yang viral di media sosial itu.
Melalui unggahan Instagram-nya, BMKG menegaskan bahwa kabar tersebut tidak benar atau hoaks.
Berdasarkan data BMKG, tidak ada peristiwa gerhana matahari baik di Indonesia maupun di negara lain, dalam fase bulan baru pada Agustus 2025.
BMKG menegaskan, gerhana matahari total akan terjadi di tahun 2027 mendatang.
Informasi itu didapat dari website resmi NASA.
Namun menurut BMKG, peristiwa gerhana matahari total yang bakal terjadi di 2027 itu juga tidak akan melewati wilayah Indonesia.
Jalur totalitas gerhana matahari yang akan terjadi pada 2 Agustus 2027 itu bakal melewati Maroko, Spanyol, Algeria, Libya, Mesir, Arab Saudi, Yaman dan Somalia.
Oleh karena itu BMKG menegaskan bahwa isu viral yang mengatakan 2 Agustus 2025 akan terjadi gerhana matahari total yang menyebabkan bumi gelap selama 6 menit merupakan hoaks atau tidak benar. (Tribun-Video.com)
