Will TASMAC Really Pay ₹10 for Every Empty Bottle? | TASMAC Upgrade Ever Introduced? | Varun Talks
Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (TASMAC) has launched an AI-enabled bottle collection machine that allows customers to return empty liquor bottles and receive an instant ₹10 refund through UPI. The new reverse vending machine scans bottle barcodes, verifies authenticity using AI technology, and automatically processes the refund digitally.

Introduced as a pilot project at TASMAC Shop No. 480 near Albert Theatre in Chennai's Egmore area, the initiative aims to improve recycling rates, reduce littering, and simplify the bottle buyback process. The machine can store up to 3,000 bottles and alerts staff when it approaches full capacity.

In this video, we explain how the AI-powered bottle return system works, who can use it, how the refund process operates, and what this could mean for the future of recycling and waste management across Tamil Nadu.

Watch till the end to see whether this technology could be expanded to TASMAC outlets throughout the state.
