Aksi demonstrasi ini digelar dalam rangka mengawal "17+8 Tuntutan Rakyat" yang sebelumnya disuarakan di media sosial.
Protes ini kembali digelar setelah massa menganggap bahwa tanggapan DPR terkait isu yang meresahkan masyarakat justru disepelekan.
Kurang lebih ada sekitar 400 mahasiswa dengan 10 bus yang bertolak ke arah Jakarta sejak pukul 13.00 WIB.
Protes ini mengangkat tema #RakyatTagihJanji.
