Impacts of synthetic insulation on human health and the environment. Delicia Gunn, FE, MPP is Founder & CEO of HEMPSULATION LLC. With a vision and desire to help reduce the construction industry’s carbon footprint while creating healthy living environments, Delicia launched HEMPSULATION in September 2021. Her debut product offering is a non-toxic, renewable insulation solution for walls, floors and ceilings that is good for the environment and better for human health. Under her leadership, HEMPSULATION has grown from an innovative idea to a viable product installed in residential and mixed-use buildings across the country. Delicia’s career in the construction industry began as a mechanical engineer designing green buildings and infrastructure projects. Her entrepreneurial spirit lead her to launch the consulting firm, Indigo Engineering Group, LLC, in 2004. Delicia holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Howard University and a Master of Public Policy from American University. Delicia enjoys golfing, painting and traveling.
