ANTISEMITISMUS IN DEUTSCHLAND: Zahl der Vorfälle steigt um 77 Prozent – „Jude sein reicht schon“Antisemitismus hat in Deutschland 2024 einen neuen Höchststand erreicht. Laut der RIAS-Meldestelle stieg die Zahl antisemitischer Vorfälle im Vergleich zu 2023 um 77 Prozent. Besonders betroffen sind Schulen und Hochschulen. Allein dort wurden fast 300 Vorfälle gemeldet. Benjamin Steinitz warnt: „Die bloße Identifikation als Jude reicht aus, um angefeindet zu werden.“ Auf über 1800 Versammlungen kam es zu Hassparolen, Holocaust-Vergleichen und sogar Aufrufen zur Gewalt gegen Juden. Steinitz fordert von der Bundesregierung konkrete Maßnahmen und dauerhafte Unterstützung zivilgesellschaftlicher Organisationen. „Worte reichen nicht mehr“, so Steinitz. Der Kampf gegen Antisemitismus müsse endlich konsequent geführt werden.
