Großdemonstration gegen Regierung Erdogan in Istanbul

In Istanbul demonstriert zur Stunde die türkische Opposition gegen die Regierung von Staatspräsident Erdogan. Sie will daran erinnern, dass seit 100 Tagen Erdogans wichtigster politischer Rivale, der gewählte Istanbuler Oberbürgermeister İmamoğlu, in Haft ist. Ihm wird Korruption vorgeworfen. In den vergangenen Monaten gab es eine Verhaftungswelle in seinem Umfeld. Kurz vor der angekündigten Demonstration heute wurden in der Oppositionshochburg Izmir viele Mitarbeiter der Stadtverwaltung in Gewahrsam genommen.
