Aún se están contando los votos de las elecciones del domingo 7 de junio entre Keiko Fujimori, hija del exdictador Alberto Fujimori, y el legislador izquierdista Roberto Sánchez. Según funcionarios electorales de Perú, la confirmación definitiva del resultado podría demorar hasta un mes.
Nos acompaña el economista peruano experto en políticas públicas Gustavo Guerra García Picasso, quien señala que Fujimori y su coalición de derecha “han socavado la democracia” por lo que “se deben implementar rápidamente reformas que permitan restaurar un sistema presidencialista en el que se respete la separación de poderes”.
