This is basically the same approach I've used in the recent Titan videos when I've done this dungeon, but even after posting those I've had a lot of comments about Vesper's Host giving them trouble across other videos, and the final boss being the reason why. So I figured I'd make a dedicated video showing how simple you can make this boss with this setup, removing the entire threat of the DPS phase and approaching the mechanics phase in an easy way.
While I recommend using the Pit of Heresy linear as it has massive total damage, you can also use the Mistral Lift which you can focus at the Tenet in the tower. It has lower total damage and might result in a 3 phase instead, but the same simple approach will apply. The key thing is you want a Void Linear as it works with the artifact mods to give you Volatile Marksman and Maligned Harvest, which are what give you the class ability back so fast and weaken.
I also did one loadout swap in this, at a point where there's no enemies or danger. The swap is so you have surges and Le Monarque instead of Riskrunner, along with Hazardous Propulsion instead of Heart of Inmost Light. It's not 100% needed and you can do it without, but it's a nice backup plan and very simple to do. You also don't need any exotic at all during mechanics, so I just put on HoIL for the small boost to neutral game. I also had no special armour sets or anything in this video, and it was a very comfortable 2 phase. If you had something like the VoG armour set it'd make it even easier.
