Un bambino di 10 anni - Jan Adam - è morto nel tardo pomeriggio di ieri, venerdì 19 dicembre, in Val Venosta. Originario di Laudes (frazione del Comune venostano di Malles), sarebbe caduto mentre stava arrampicandosi su una roccia con un amico, 11enne, rimasto illeso. Secondo una prima ricostruzione i due stavano giocando insieme nel parco giochi del paese, quando hanno deciso di addentrarsi nel bosco vicino. Erano circa le 17, quindi con condizioni di visibilità già scarse: possibile che l'oscurità li abbia sorpresi, impedendogli di procedere in un senso o nell'altro. Immediato è scattato l'allarme: sul posto sono intervenuti i vigili del fuoco volontari della zona, i carabinieri e il soccorso alpino della Guardia di finanza di Silandro, quello dell'Alpenverein, . Le operazioni di soccorso, al buio e su un terreno impervio, sono durate quattro ore: il ragazzino sopravvissuto è stato elitrasportato in ospedale per accertamenti ma non desta preoccupazione, e la salma della vittima è stata recuperata successivamente sempre in elicottero.
