Meteoriten-Alarm in Rheinland-Pfalz: Feuerkugel beschädigt HäuserTeile eines Meteoriten haben laut Polizei Schäden an Dächern und Häusern in Rheinland-Pfalz angerichtet. Schadensmeldungen gebe es unter anderem aus dem Hunsrück, der Eifel und aus Koblenz. Ein Sprecher des nationalen Lage- und Führungszentrums für Sicherheit im Luftraum in NRW sagte am Abend auf Nachfrage von BILD: „Wir wissen, dass es ein Meteor oder Meteorit gewesen ist, ob es dazu noch nähere Informationen geben wird, kann derzeit nicht gesagt werden.“
Es blitzt, dann rast eine hellglühende Riesenkugel über den dämmerigen Abendhimmel. In den sozialen Medien ist die Aufregung groß, immer mehr Fotos und Videos werden geteilt. Die Spekulationen reichen von Meteorit über Weltraumschrott bis Flugzeugabsturz. Sicher ist: Ein derartiges Feuerspektakel gab es lange nicht!
