Kantor Berita Nasional milik pemerintah Lebanon melaporkan tentara Israel menyerang sebuah mobil di Tyre.
Dikatakannya ambulans membawa dua orang yang terluka dalam serangan itu ke rumah sakit.
Sumber-sumber mengatakan bahwa komandan bertanggung jawab atas bagian dari operasi Hizbullah di sepanjang perbatasan Lebanon-Israel.
Dimana kelompok itu telah bertukar tembakan dengan militer Israel sejak Oktober bersamaan dengan Perang Gaza.
Dikatakan komandan senior tersebut memiliki pangkat dan kepentingan yang sama dengan kelompok itu sebagai Taleb Abdallah.
Abdallah juga tewas dalam serangan Israel pada bulan Juni dan merupakan komandan lapangan Hizbullah paling senior yang dibunuh oleh militer Israel dalam delapan bulan terakhir permusuhan.
Tidak ada komentar langsung dari Hizbullah tentang komandan senior yang tewas dalam serangan hari Rabu.
Sementara itu Menteri Pertahanan Israel Yoav Gallant menyatakan, IDF akan siap melawan Hizbullah.
Pasukan Israel akan siap mengambil tindakan apa pun yang diperlukan terhadap Hizbullah Lebanon, meskipun preferensinya adalah mencapai pengaturan yang dinegosiasikan.
Ketegangan tinggi di perbatasan Lebanon-Israel mengancam pecahnya perang skala penuh antara kelompok Lebanon dan Israel.
