In Romania, ho visto poliziotti e gendarmi picchiare fisicamente pastori e ragazzi; hanno persino usato gas lacrimogeni contro dei parlamentari, nello specifico contro i deputati del partito che guido, SOS Romania. È inaccettabile che il diritto di protestare, di esprimersi e di avere un'opinione venga represso dai vertici dei Paesi dell'Unione Europea; ci siamo trasformati, di fatto, in una dittatura. Consentite alle persone di esprimere i propri punti di vista e smettetela di infiltrare queste proteste con individui violenti che distruggono le manifestazioni pacifiche", lo ha detto l'Eurodeputata rumena Diana Iovanovici Șoșoacă in plenaria a Strasburgo.Ebs
