Die Energiewende – eine der größten Herausforderungen, vor denen Deutschland steht. Speicher – große Batterien, die den überschüssigen Strom aus Wind- und Sonnenkraft zwischenlagern – sind ein wichtiges Puzzlestück. Eine Firma aus Unterfranken hat einen organischen Stromspeicher entwickelt, der frei ist von umstrittenen Rohstoffen und unabhängig von globalen Lieferketten. Die so genannten Organic-Solid-Flow-Speicher sind nicht brennbar und nahezu komplett recyclebar und werden nun erstmals in der deutschen Wirtschaft getestet.
