Ein Denkmal? Oder weitere Reparationszahlungen? Was ist der richtige Weg im Gedenken an die polnischen Opfer der deutschen Besatzung im Zweiten Weltkrieg?Nach langen Diskussionen wurde nun ein Gedenkstein mitten in Berlin enthüllt - zwischen Reichstagsgebäude und Bundeskanzleramt, an dem Ort, an dem Hitler einst den Überfall auf Polen verkündete. Eine vorübergehende Erinnerungsstätte, die später durch ein Denkmal ersetzt werden soll; auch ein deutsch-polnisches Haus soll entstehen.
Im DW-Interview spricht Knut Abraham, der neue Koordinator der Bundesregierung für die deutsch-polnische Zusammenarbeit über die Beziehungen zwischen den beiden Nachbarstaaten, Forderungen nach Entschädigung für die Zerstörung Polens und konträre Sichtweisen dies- und jenseits der Grenze, nicht zuletzt beim Thema Migration.
