Herederos culturales: Alfarería uigur

Tuerxun Rousitan es uno de los herederos de la tradición alfarera uigur, reconocida como patrimonio cultural inmaterial de China. Aprendió el oficio bajo la guía de su padre y hoy mantiene activo su taller en Kashgar, la región autónoma uigur de Xinjiang.
La alfarería uigur se distingue por el uso de arcilla local, que se moldea a mano o con torno y luego se cuece en hornos tradicionales. Las piezas suelen tener formas simples pero resistentes, pensadas para la vida cotidiana, aunque algunas se decoran con motivos geométricos o florales.
