Ein Jahr nach dem Start der schwarz-roten Bundesregierung fällt die Bilanz bei WELT-Herausgeber Ulf Poschardt vernichtend aus. Im WELT-Gespräch wirft er Kanzler Friedrich Merz fehlende Führung, gebrochene Wahlversprechen und mangelnden Reformwillen vor.

Besonders scharf kritisiert Poschardt die Schuldenpolitik sowie Aussagen von Arbeitsministerin Bärbel Bas zur Migration und den Sozialsystemen. Die SPD habe sich „von der Realität abgekoppelt“, Merz wirke orientierungslos. Mit Blick auf schwache Umfragewerte und drohende Wahlniederlagen im Osten stellt Poschardt sogar die Stabilität der Koalition infrage.
