Wu Qian, portavoz del Ministerio de Defensa Nacional de China, condenó el domingo las infundadas afirmaciones australianas respecto a recientes actividades y maniobras con fuego real de tres buques de guerra chinos en alta mar. Wu hizo estas declaraciones en respuesta a una pregunta de los medios de comunicación sobre la acusación australiana referente a los ejercicios militares legales chinos cerca del país oceánico. El portavoz reiteró que las acciones de China fueron totalmente conformes con el derecho internacional y las prácticas establecidas y no afectaron la seguridad aérea.
