รายการ ONE ลุมพินี HEROES 14 มกราคม 2569"ลี ซัง ชัล" เกิดและเติบโตที่เมืองคยองซาน จังหวัดคยองซังเหนือ ประเทศเกาหลีใต้ โดยในช่วงมัธยมปลาย เขาและพี่ชายฝาแฝดเริ่มฝึกมวยไทยเป็นงานอดิเรกเพื่อออกกำลังกาย ก่อนจะเข้ารับการเกณฑ์ทหารเมื่ออายุ 19 ปี และมีโอกาสได้รับชมการแข่งขัน MMA ของ ONE เป็นครั้งแรก จนกลายเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นที่ทำให้เขาตั้งใจจะออกมาฝึก MMA เพื่อเข้ามาร่วมแข่งขันใน ONE ให้ได้หลังปลดประจำการ
หลังเสร็จภารกิจรับใช้ชาติ "ลี ซัง ชัล" เริ่มต้นฝึก MMA อย่างจริงจังในวัย 22 ปี โดยมีซูเปอร์สตาร์ MMA ระดับโลกอย่าง "โจชัว พาซิโอ", "ยูยะ วากามัตสึ" และ "ดิมิเทรียส จอห์นสัน" เป็นแรงบันดาลใจสำคัญ และแม้จะประสบความพ่ายแพ้ในไฟต์แรก แต่เขาก็กลับไปทุ่มเทฝึกซ้อมอย่างหนัก จนกลับมาทำผลงานได้อย่างยอดเยี่ยมด้วยการเก็บชัยชนะต่อเนื่อง 7 ไฟต์ โดยเป็นการปิดเกมคู่ต่อสู้ทั้งหมด
ผลจากการโชว์ฟอร์มสุดร้อนแรงส่งผลให้ "ลี ซัง ชัล" ได้รับโอกาสให้เข้ามาชกในศึก ONE ลุมพินี และเขาก็ไม่ปล่อยโอกาสทองหลุดลอยเก็บชัยชนะ 4 ไฟต์รวด โดยเป็นการปิดเกมถึง 3 ไฟต์ สานฝันให้เป็นจริงด้วยการคว้าสัญญา ONE ฉบับที่ 35 จากเวที ONE ลุมพินี มาครองได้สำเร็จ
