JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV Presiden AS Donald Trump dan Presiden RI Prabowo Subianto saling memuji usai bernegosiasi tarif impor antarnegara.Presiden AS, Donald Trump, mengatakan bahwa Presiden RI luar biasa, kuat, dan cerdas.
"Kami telah membuat kesepakatan dengan Indonesia. Saya berbicara dengan presidennya yang luar biasa, sangat populer, kuat, cerdas. Dan kami menyepakati perjanjian, kami mendapatkan akses penuh ke Indonesia, segalanya," ujar Trump di Washington, Rabu (16/7/2025).
Sementara itu, Prabowo mengatakan bahwa Trump merupakan negosiator yang cukup keras.
"Kita memahami kepentingan-kepentingan mereka, mereka memahami kepentingan kita, dan kita sepakati. Sekarang kalau nggak salah tarifnya dari 32% diturunkan jadi 19%. Saya tetap nego, saya katakan beliau ini seorang negosiator yang cukup keras juga. Saya kira itu dari saya," ujar Prabowo di Jakarta pada Rabu (16/7/2025).
Diketahui, Trump memotong tarif impor dari Indonesia hingga 19% atas ekspor ke AS yang sebelumnya mencapai 32%, sementara AS tidak perlu membayar tarif impor apa pun ke Indonesia.
