La AIE anuncia que las reservas de petróleo de emergencia estarán pronto disponibles en los mercados
Así lo ha anunciado la Agencia Internacional de la Energía en su último comunicado, en el que indica que sus países miembros suministrarán 400 millones de barriles de petróleo al mercado procedentes de las reservas gubernamentales y de las reservas obligatorias de la industria.Las reservas de los países de Asia y Oceanía estarán disponibles de inmediato, mientras que las de América y Europa lo estarán a finales de marzo. La AIE señaló que el conflicto en curso en Oriente Medio está provocando la mayor interrupción del suministro en la historia del mercado mundial del petróleo. La agencia pide que se restablezca urgentemente la seguridad del tránsito de buques por el estrecho de Ormuz.
A pesar de la mayor liberación de reservas de petróleo de la historia, los precios del petróleo siguen siendo elevados. El crudo Brent subió más de un 1,5 % hasta casi 105 dólares estadounidenses por barril el 16 de marzo, mientras que el West Texas Intermediate subió 0,7 % hasta cerca de los 100 dólares por barril. #Israel #Irán #DM #EEUU #xw
