Los Palmeros de Chacao y Los Cara'e Perros, este sábado 28 de marzo de 2026
Los Palmeros de Chacao, ¡Patrimonio inmaterial de la Humanidad!, son una manifestación religiosa que tiene más de 250 años. Los grupos que la conforman pasan varios días en el Ávila o Waraira Repano, montañas en el norte de Caracas, donde podan de forma cuidadosa matas de palma que bajan el sábado antes del Domingo de Ramos, para ser bendecidas y usadas por la población durante la Semana Santa.Fueron declarados Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad por la Unesco en 2019.
Esto fue el sábado 28 de marzo de 2026 en las calles de Chacao, este de Caracas, estado Miranda, y seguimos de cerca a los "Cara'e perros", uno de los muchos grupos que conforman la cofradía.
Los palmeros también actúan como "guardianes del Ávila". La recolección es controlada: solo se podan las hojas necesarias de la palma real y, a cambio, los miembros participan en programas de reforestación y conservación del parque. Receive SMS online on sms24.me
