Mamdani reacts to Trump's sanctuary city threats
We are getting more information this week as President Donald Trump says that his administration will cut funding to sanctuary cities beginning next month. This comes after a federal judge denied the Trump administration's attempt to cut funding to sanctuary jurisdictions in April 2025. LiveNOW’s Mike Pache is speaking with FOX 5 New York’s Morgan McKay as leaders of sanctuary jurisdictions say their communities are safer because immigrants feel they can communicate with local police without fear of deportation."Starting Feb. 1, we’re not making any payments to sanctuary cities or states having sanctuary cities because they do everything possible to protect criminals at the expense of American citizens," President Trump said. "And it breeds fraud and crime and all the other problems that come. So we’re not making any payment to anybody that supports sanctuary," Trump added.
