Die Deutsche Bahn lässt offenbar gezielt Züge ausfallen, um die Statistik zu verbessern. Das ist das Ergebnis einer Spiegel-Recherche. Demnach werden Fahrten mit großer Verspätung vorzeitig beendet und Reisende gebeten, andere Verkehrsmittel zu benutzen. Der Zug fließe auf diese Weise nicht negativ in der Pünktlichkeitsstatistik ein, die im Konzern als wichtige Messlatte gilt.Der Spiegel beruft sich auf interne Vermerke, Mitarbeiter-Aussagen und Einsichten in ein Management-Tool. Die Bahn selbst weist die Vorwürfe zurück und spricht von Einzelfällen.
