Yusuf Tekin: 'Ramazan etkinlikleri gönüllülük esasına göre yapılacak'
Türkiye'de Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'nın okullarda "Maarifin Kalbinde Ramazan" başlıklı etkinlikler düzenlenmesini öngören yazısı, eğitimde dinin rolü üzerine geniş bir tartışma başlattı.Bu uygulama, hem laiklik ilkesine aykırı olduğu hem de etkinliklere katılmak istemeyen öğrencilerin dışlanma ve etiketlenmeye maruz kalma riski bulunduğu gerekçesiyle eleştirildi.
Milli Eğitim Bakanı Yusuf Tekin, BBC Türkçe'nin sorularını yanıtladı ve eleştirilere cevap verdi.
Yusuf Tekin, laiklik ilkesine aykırılık iddiasını ileri sürenlerin bakanlığın yaptıklarını takip etmediğini, konuya önyargılı yaklaştığını düşündüklerini söyledi.
Tekin, bakanlığın yazısıyla ilgili olarak "Gönüllülük esasına göre yapılacağını açıkça deklare ettik" dedi ve ekledi:
"Bütün bunlardan hareketle, metnin laiklik ilkesine aykırı olarak yorumlanması konusunda açıkçası ben bir art niyet ve toplumu germeye yönelik manipülasyon üretmeye, siyasal anlamda polemik üretmeye yönelik bir adım olarak görüyorum."
Türkiye'de 75 binden fazla okulda yüz binlerce etkinlik yapıldığını belirten Tekin, bakanlığın, "meşru ilkelere uymayan gayri hukuki şeyler olduğunda" gerekeni yaptığını söyledi.
Tekin ayrıca orta öğretimde imam hatip liselilerin oranı, özel okullara talep ve fiyat artışları, meslek eğitim merkezleri ve 12 yıllık zorunlu eğitimin kısalıp kısalmayacağıyla ilgili sorularımızı da yanıtladı.
