RASSISMUS UND GEWALTANDROHUNGEN: Volksbühne sagt Schwimm-Veranstaltung für Schwarze Community ab!

Eine umstrittene Veranstaltung im Berliner „Volksbad“ vor der Volksbühne ist kurzfristig abgesagt worden. Der Verein Each One Teach One hatte das Bad für mehrere Stunden reserviert und ein exklusives Schwimmangebot für Menschen aus der Schwarzen Community angekündigt.

Die Veranstaltung hatte bereits im Vorfeld für heftige Diskussionen gesorgt. Kritiker warfen den Organisatoren vor, Menschen aufgrund ihrer Hautfarbe auszuschließen. Nach Angaben des Vereins gingen daraufhin rassistische Droh-E-Mails und sogar Gewaltandrohungen ein.

Aus Sicherheitsgründen wurde das geplante Schwimmen nun abgesagt. Damit steht nicht nur die Veranstaltung selbst im Mittelpunkt, sondern auch die Frage, wie mit Angeboten für eine bestimmte Community und den darauf folgenden Bedrohungen umgegangen wird.
