Victor Assié, comédien en galère, se voit proposer un projet inhabituel : participer à un jeu de simulation de vie en ligne, dans lequel il tiendrait son propre rôle.
Sous le regard de deux réalisateurs qui enregistrent l'expérience en temps réel, il débarque sur une île virtuelle où évoluent des avatars exerçant toutes sortes de métiers. Sa mission : s'intégrer. D'abord déboussolé, il prend ses marques au gré de rencontres parfois déroutantes, quitte à brouiller les règles du jeu… Cette expérience documentaire surprenante porte un regard tendrement absurde sur nos "vraies vies" partagées entre réel et virtuel.
