A mass shooting, a transgender shooter, children’s lives ended, and yet the media and police twist themselves into linguistic pretzels to avoid saying anything that might trigger the wrong kind of outrage. “Gun person.” Preferred pronouns. PR panic. All while bodies are still warm.
We look at the CBC coverage, the RCMP press conference, the absolute cowardice around basic facts, and why accuracy now takes a back seat to avoiding backlash — just like we saw after Bondi. It’s not about truth, it’s about optics. And apparently, respecting a mass murderer’s identity now ranks higher than respecting the victims.
Thoughts, prayers, and whatever the heathen version of that is ❤️
