Si todos creemos en el mismo Jesús y leemos la misma Biblia… ¿Por qué hay más de 45,000 denominaciones cristianas en el mundo?

Es una pregunta que genera desde curiosidad hasta frustración, e incluso para algunos se convierte en una razón para alejarse de la fe. Porque cuando ves a cristianos peleando entre sí, cuando ves tanta fragmentación entre quienes dicen seguir al mismo Señor, es natural preguntarse si todo esto tiene algún sentido.

En este episodio decidimos ir directo a la fuente. Preguntarle a la Biblia. Y lo que encontramos abre una conversación que va mucho más allá de los desacuerdos doctrinales. 🙏

Porque hay una diferencia enorme entre unidad y uniformidad. Jesús oró por la unidad de su iglesia, pero ¿qué clase de unidad tenía en mente? ¿Una en la que todos pensamos exactamente igual, o una en la que nos amamos profundamente a pesar de pensar diferente? ¿La unidad es un sentimiento, una estructura organizacional, o algo mucho más profundo que ambas cosas?

Y luego está la pregunta que más incomoda: ¿quién decide qué doctrinas son esenciales y cuáles no lo son? ¿Deberíamos dividirnos por asuntos como el bautismo, el estilo de adoración o la interpretación de las profecías? ¿O hay cosas por las que simplemente no vale la pena separarse?

También está la tensión que todo cristiano ha vivido alguna vez entre la verdad y el amor. ¿La verdad divide o une? ¿Se puede discrepar sin ser desagradable? ¿Pueden dos cristianos estar en profundo desacuerdo doctrinal y aun así amarse como hermanos? ¿Cómo sé cuándo debo separarme de una iglesia por conciencia y cuándo debo quedarme por amor?
