Klaim ini disampaikan juru bicara militer Houthi dalam rilisnya di Telegram pada Jumat (28/6).
Yahya Saree mengatakan Houthi meluncurkan rudal balistik ke Delonix, sebuah kapal tanker minyak milik Amerika Serikat.
Serangan tersebut dikatakan tepat sasaran dan mengenai target langsung.
Pemantau Operasi Perdagangan maritim Inggris membenarkan kapal Delonix menjadi sasaran dari 278 kilometer barat laut pelabuhan Hodeidah Yaman.
Namun dilaporkan tak ada kerusakan dan sedang menuju ke utara.
Lebih lanjut, Yahya Saree mengatakan Houthi menyerang kapal Ioannis di Laut Merah.
Selain itu juga menyerang kapal tanker minyak Waler dan kapal Johannes Maersk di Mediterania.
Houthi mengatakan Johannes Maersk merupakan pengangkut peti kemas terbesar kedua di dunia.
Kapal tersebut berasal dari perusahaan yang paling mendukung entitas Zionis dan paling banyak melanggar keputusan larangan akses ke pelabuhan.
Adapun serangan mereka terhadap jalur pelayaran sebagai bentuk solidaritas terhadap warga Palestina, buntut agresi Zionis terhadap Hamas di Gaza.
