Di recente è stata ascoltata in Commissione Covid, dove ha spiegato quelli che sarebbero stati gli errori commessi nella gestione dell'emergenza - ricordiamo che la Commissione ha deciso di analizzare la pandemia in ordine cronologico, quindi partendo dalle mascherine, i lockdown e in generale l'approccio iniziale. La microbiologa ha esposto, nell'analisi di presentazione prima delle domande dei commissari, i principali punti chiave della crisi sanitaria. "Cosa sarebbe accaduto - chiede in aula - se avessimo subito tracciato in maniera tale da effettuare i tamponi non solo a coloro che avevano evidenti sintomi? Cosa sarebbe accaduto se avessimo effettuato un gran numero di autopsie conoscendo meglio la patogenesi di questa patologia?".
