Upshot-Knothole Harry
The United States conducted Operation Upshot-Knothole, which included a nuclear weapons test called “Harry”. It occurred at 04:05 p.m. on May 19, 1953, at Yucca Flat at the Nevada Test Site. The test was sponsored by the United States National Laboratory, which is based in Los Alamos. The test bomb, dubbed Hamlet, exploded on top of a 300-foot tower.
