Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has sharply criticised Europe’s stance on the Iran war, accusing European governments of backing what he called an “illegal” US-Israel attack on Iran.Araghchi said Europe supported the war expecting Washington’s help against Russia, but argued the conflict has instead eased pressure on Russian oil exports. He claimed the United States is now urging countries around the world, including India, to buy Russian crude amid the global energy crunch caused by the war.
In a post on social media, the Iranian foreign minister described Europe’s position on the war as “pathetic” as tensions between Iran and Western powers continue to escalate.
