Polres Padang Pariaman berhasil menangkap terduga pelaku pada Kamis (19/6/2025) dini hari.
Polisi menduga, kasus pembunuhan ini tidak hanya memakan satu korban.
Kapolres Padang Pariaman, AKBP Ahmad Faisol Amir mengungkap motif mutilasi tersebut adalah masalah utang piutang.
Bermula ketika korban meminjam uang kepada pelaku SJ sebesar Rp 3,5 Juta.
Melalui pinjaman itu korban berjanji akan mengembalikan dengan waktu yang ditentukan.
“Namun sampai waktu yang ditentukan, bahkan sudah memasuki tenggang waktu korban tidak kunjung mengembalikan uang tersebut,” ujar Kapolres, Kamis (19/6/2025).
Namun sampai waktu itu korban tak kunjung mengembalikan uang dan pelaku gegabah menyekap korban serta membawanya ke jembatan kawasan Batang Anai.
Di jembatan itu, pelaku memotong tubuh korban menjadi 10 bagian dan membuangnya ke aliran sungai secara terpisah.
“Penyidikan masih dilakukan secara intensif, informasi sementara seperti itu,” ujar Kapolres.
Polisi menduga masih ada korban lainnya sehingga akan dilakukan pengembangan.
