Il dibattito è acceso, e nel suo consueto intervento in diretta su Radio Radio, l'avvocato Enrico Michetti ha parlato della tragicità della situazione insieme al direttore Ilario Di Giovambattista.
Il discorso, è stato molto chiaro: l'attentato del 7 ottobre 2023 da parte di Hamas non solo è ingiustificabile, ma deprecabile e vergognoso: condannarlo è d'obbligo. D'altro canto, la risposta di Israele non solo è stata cruente ed eccessiva, ma anzi è stata, e continua a essere, figlia di un "piano altrettanto criminale".
"Immagina se Hamas fosse la mafia, no? La mafia è quanto di peggio ci sia, o comunque un'associazione criminale. Ebbene, non perché c’è la mafia tu distruggi Palermo o Corleone. A Palermo e Corleone ci sono tante persone innocenti, che non c’entrano nulla, che subiscono anche quel tipo di dittature. Quando ci sono le guerre, non si deve mai prendere posizione, né da una parte né dall’altra. Hanno fallito entrambe, ha fallito la diplomazia internazionale, ha fallito tutto. È un fallimento globale. Prendere le parti di Tizio o Caio è follia. Ma qui ci troviamo di fronte a due atteggiamenti criminali".
