朋友跟你說最近工作很累，你聽得認真，也在想怎麼幫忙，對方卻突然問：「你是不是不想聽？」你在心裡已經替他開了三次會，他只看到你沒反應。
你知道自己有在乎。但如果換成你說心事，對方一直安靜地看著你，你可能也會不安。我們知道自己的沉默裡有什麼，卻常常忘記，別人看不見。
上一集，我陪四、五十歲的朋友理解「Z 世代凝視」。這一集，想跟二十幾歲、三十幾歲的你聊聊：怎麼保有自己的選擇，也讓重要的人感受到你的關心？
工作機會、AI 帶來的變化，還有疫情期間少掉的相處練習，都值得被認真看待。一句「我們以前也是這樣熬過來的」，回答不了你眼前的困難。你也不需要為了讓前輩滿意，接下所有陪笑、安撫的工作。
不過，面對你在乎的人，還有一些能力值得練習。
既然要凝視，何不試著看懂？留意對方在意的地方，確認自己的理解，再說清楚能給什麼回應。你的表情，也可以跟上心意。
例如，你只是專心想事情，眉頭卻皺著，對方就以為你不耐煩。這些細節，可以透過練習慢慢調整。你不需要把笑臉給每一個人，但可以學會，把笑臉給值得的人。
這集會從日常對話談到基礎表情，陪你看見：安靜的人，也能讓關心被收到；需要休息時，也能把自己的範圍說清楚。
學會回應，讓你多一份主動。有些要求可以不接，有些關係可以靠近。如果你常在對話結束後，才想到剛剛可以怎麼說，這集陪你把心裡的在乎，練成對方感受得到的回應。
