Ahogy a támadás, úgy a válaszlépés is elsöprő erejű volt, megváltozott: rezsimek omlottak össze és emelkedtek fel a Közel-Keleten, de nyugaton is átalakult az élet a bevándorláspolitikától a repülésen át a diplomáciáig rengeteg területen.
