We’re still figuring it out (And that’s ok) | Jacky Lin | TEDxBIBA Youth
This speech is about how it is normal for high school students to feel unsure about their future. It explains how trying new things, even when you are not prepared, can help you discover what you enjoy and who you want to become. Through a personal experience with a school musical and the example of Nelson Mandela, the speech shows that not knowing is not the same as failing. The main message is that you do not need to have your whole life planned out—you just need to keep moving forward. Jacky Lin is a 14-year-old high school student with a strong passion for media, photography, and cinematography. He enjoys creating video edits and is actively involved in multiple film-based clubs, where he contributes to community projects, including filming for the school’s marketing department. Jacky also works on his own projects, such as filming school events and competitions, and creating edits that help highlight others and bring more recognition to people within the school community.Through TEDx, Jacky aims to share the idea that not having everything figured out is a natural part of growth. Drawing from his own experiences, he hopes to show how stepping into the unknown, trying new things, and learning along the way can lead to unexpected opportunities. He encourages others to reflect on their own journey and rethink the pressure to have everything planned out. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx Receive SMS online on sms24.me
