STURZFLUT IN NEPAL: Reporter schildert dramatische Szenen zwischen Hoffnung und Tod
Nach der verheerenden Sturzflut in Nepal und Tibet steigt die Zahl der Opfer weiter. Tausende Menschen gelten noch als vermisst, ganze Ortschaften wurden zerstört. BILD-Chefreporter Axel Lier berichtet aus Kathmandu und aus dem Katastrophengebiet entlang des Trishuli-Flusses. Angehörige suchen nach Familienmitgliedern, Rettungskräfte kämpfen gegen Schlamm, Hitze und die Zeit. Besonders bewegend: die Szenen an einem Hubschrauber-Umschlagplatz, an dem Verletzte, Vermisste und Tote zusammengeführt werden.
