Matthew McConaughey: Life Got Easy After I Learned This

You can’t keep love at 100 watts forever. But a dimmer light can last a lot longer.

In this episode, Matthew McConaughey and Jay Shetty talk about what a free day looks like when you love to work. Matthew explains why he stopped saying “midlife crisis.” And he shares the question he can’t stop asking himself since turning 50.

He tells a story from after Hurricane Katrina. An 80-year-old woman stood where her house used to be and asked him for one thing. He talks about the three people who have passed away that he still runs his big choices by. And he says why he thinks real religion is selfish.

Learn why he expects perfection from himself but tries to be happy with an 88. And learn why he believes God will say “you’re welcome.”
