Un enorme disco rosso fuoco che emerge dall’orizzonte e si allinea perfettamente ai grattacieli di Porta Garibaldi, con il Duomo e la Madonnina che compaiono accanto alle torri di CityLife. È il nuovo scatto «impossibile»realizzato da Valerio Minato, fotografo biellese trapiantato a Torino e specialista delle immagini astronomiche a lunghissima distanza. La fotografia è stata realizzata dal Poggio Alto di Nebbiuno, sopra il Lago Maggiore, a 65 chilometri da Milano. «Il target era la Torre Unicredit, ma il vero regalo è stata la comparsa del Duomo», racconta Minato. A rendere ancora più spettacolare la scena il passaggio di un Airbus A321 davanti al disco lunare mentre il fotografo stava scattando. Dietro l’immagine ci sono cinque anni di tentativi, calcoli astronomici, studio della geografia del Nord-Ovest e compensazioni della curvatura terrestre. Fondamentale anche trovare la rara combinazione tra alba lunare, cielo ancora buio e aria perfettamente limpida. «Ci ero andato vicino molte volte, ma mancava sempre qualcosa. Fino al 2 maggio 2026».
