Ursache ist ein massiver Rohrbruch in einer über 100 Jahre alten Hauptleitung. Innerhalb weniger Minuten flutete das austretende Wasser die Straßen, die sich bei eisigen Temperaturen in eine gefährliche Eisfläche verwandelten. Autos und Häuser wurden eingeschlossen. Arbeiter sind rund um die Uhr im Einsatz, doch die Reparatur wird mindestens zwei Wochen dauern.
